Water Fight 2019

On Monday 25th November at 11:15 am it was Carlton school's amazing water fight. There were so many people there. After morning tea we had to go to the bathroom to get changed into our togs. Then we came out of the bathroom and we went to get out our water guns.   I unfortunately didn't bring a water gun, which wasn't very fair. We went outside and went to sit down on the junior field and then we got to go and choose what activities we would go to first. There was a water slide, and a water fight around the back on the Astroturf. People where shooting each other with their water guns. It was a whole school water fight. It was extremely fun. 

The ones who didn't bring their togs got to play with skipping ropes, hula hoops and bouncy balls; there was also a water play station. There was a few little pools for the juniors. There were no problems about the water fight so everything was fine. It was a little bit windy that day but it was sunny as well. I enjoyed it very much, it was fun. I was very happy about it. A couple of minutes later Mrs. Palmer rang the bell "DING DING", we all went to the field and the teachers said "The water fight is now over". We all went back to class and got changed back into our school clothes, the water fight was officially OVER. 

Room 6 Class Flood

On Monday when I came into my classroom there was a sign on the door saying "Entrance closed! Please use back door." My friends Riley and Lily said "The class flooded." So we had to go in the back door to get in and out. It flooded at the front of the class and on one of the sides. The teacher put yellow and orange cones, which means that is out of bounds and you can't go there. Three other classrooms (7, 5 and 8) were flooded too. I guess the rain decided to go to room 5, 6, 7 and 8 and not the other classes. Room 5 was the luckiest classroom because Room 8 started the flood, then it spread to Room 7 then 6 then 5... Room 5 only got a little bit of water in it.  As you may know it rained really hard on Sunday so the drains at school couldn't cope, that lead the rain to the flood the school. There was a man with a van who came in with some sort of vacuum cleaner and I think he vacuumed up the water. He took lots of water out but there still was heaps left.  He left and Mrs Wilton Scott opened up the windows so the carpet would dry.

My Athletics Day 2019

On Tuesday it was Athletics day, my group was the 8 year old girls.  The first thing we did was long distance running, we did a barrel race! Then we did a spider running race, where we ran like spiders! It was really fun. Mr Mc-Phun was the leader/teacher of the running race and spider one too, they were the same. 

Then next we did was long jump. We went to the senior field under the trees there was a little sandpit there was a starting line about 14 steps away from the sandpit, you have to run as fast as you can then jump into the sandpit as far as you can.  The teacher was Mrs Nation and Mrs Duncan who were doing the Long Jump judging. 

Now I'll tell you about my favourite thing I did... we did high jump! So there is 2 standing up bars and one on those 2 bars there is a pole you have to try jump over it.  Miss Hume was the teacher in charge. After that we did Vortex with Mrs Wilton-Scott after that we did shotput with Mr Ohia. Shotput is when you have to throw a little heavy ball and try to throw it as far as you can. Last was.. 100 metre run, you have to run 100 metres across the field! I came 2nd in the practice run and then in the real one I came 6th place it is a very fun activity to do. My favourite thing was 100 meture run that's when you have to run 100 metures! In the practice round I came 2nd and in the 2nd round I came 6th I was so puffed.
