Last week me and my class, room 15 did a science experiment called Water cycle in a bag. We paired up with a buddy, mine was Nevaeh, we got to choose. What we needed was blue dye, a snap lock bag, tape(not duck tape), a window and a sharpie. With the sharpie we drew clouds, a sun and a squiggly line for the water, then we filled our bag with water to the top of the squiggly line but we tried to not make the water touch the sides so we did it very carefully. Then we got the blue dye and put a drop in, put 2 drops if its not enough. After we got the tape and we taped the top of the bag onto the window, here's what happened..
First, the dye water turned into a gas called evaporation, then it turned into condensation which is the blurry-like stuff at the top, it turns into little bubbles, it get too heavy then it forms into little droplets, like rain!
Evaporation: when the water evaporates, it turns into a gas, you cant see it though.
Condensation: When the gas is in the air it starts to form into clouds...when its in the clouds it actually rains out as pure water.
Precipitation: When the clouds are full with the gas, it turns into water and falls out, rain!
Collection: when the water falls out of the clouds as rain, it goes down back into the water, on the grass, anywhere!
and the cycle just goes on and on and on....
